Within the first few pages, I was impressed!! This guide to drawing was published circa 1868 and is quite amazing.

the old masters are called "masters" for good cause. and i'm invigorated by your observation. as well as your being "impressed!!..." about a book published during the dawn of IMPRESSIONISM. kudos on word choice!
